The Basque Country allocates €1,000,000 to aid for the modernisation of electricity installations in neighbouring communities

The objective is to contribute to the improvement of the electrification of services by modernising the old electrical installations of the neighbouring communities, so that they can support increasing demands for electricity, for example, by the use of renewable heating by aerothermia and electric vehicles. They are expected to contribute to the implementation of some 200 projects.

Egutera energy cooperative: it's time to become a member

A few months from now work will commence on the construction of the solar park and the search for members begins this very week. Next Tuesday, 12 March, will see an informative meeting at the Aita Mari Cinema, and an information office will open at the Guild in mid-March.​

Klima-aldaketari eta energia-trantsizioari buruzko lehen esperientziak programaren bigarren edizioa hasi da

Lehen edizioaren itxierak Ihobek, EEEk, Lanbidek eta Novia Salcedok sustatutako bigarren prestakuntza-programari hasiera emateko balio izan du. Programa hori Udalsarea 2030ek zabaldu du eta LIFE IP Urban Klima 2050 proiektuak finantzatu du. Work begins on Ekiola solar cooperative in Gorbeialdea

Installation and commissioning will take ten months and the plant is expected to be connected to the grid by the end of the year. In the coming weeks, a membership drive will be launched to encourage local people to join the new solar production cooperative. Meanwhile, panel installation at the Ekiola Lautada plant is now complete and work has started on grid connection and authorisation for commissioning of the plant.

Membership drive launched for Ekiola Lea-Artibai solar self-consumption citizen cooperative

Ekiola cooperatives are citizen cooperatives for solar power generation and consumption. The first to be developed in the province of Bizkaia will be located in Etxebarria and will service the Lea-Artibai area. It will have an output of 1,369 MWh/year, enough to cover the energy needs of 649 families or small businesses in the area.  Ekiola Lea-Artibai is expected to start producing entirely local renewable energy by the end of this year.
