In 2026, the Basque Government, through the Basque Energy Agency, will manage grants to promote actions aimed at energy efficiency, energy saving and the reduction of greenhouse gases in the Basque manufacturing industry.

This programme combines the energy efficiency programme managed by EVE and the decarbonisation programme managed until now by SPRI for the industrial sector. Both programmes have a long history and have served to promote significant technological investments in the industrial fabric of the Basque Country.

The award procedure for this new call for applications will be through successive competition, i.e. applications submitted with all the correct documentation will be eligible for the grant on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the limits set out in EU Regulation 651/2014.

These grants are expected to be open for applications in the coming weeks and will continue until mid-2027, so more information on their content and characteristics will be provided in due course.
