It is estimated that 65% can be exploited through recycling, the rest going to landfills or incinerators.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<!-- CONSEJO  END--><!-- CONSEJO  -->\r\n\r\n<div class=\"icon-box consejo m-b-40\">\r\n<div aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fa-regular fa-comment\"><\/div>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">In order to recycle, the materials need to be separated at source. The consumer is a key element in ensuring that the whole process functions.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<!-- CONSEJO  END--><!-- CONSEJO  -->\r\n\r\n<div class=\"icon-box consejo m-b-40\">\r\n<div aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fa-regular fa-comment\"><\/div>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">There are often other containers and collection services for batteries, medicaments, cloth, furniture, household appliances and other items that have reached the end of their working life.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<!-- CONSEJO  END--><\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"col-md-4 hidden-sm-down\">\r\n<div class=\"text-center\"><img alt=\"\" data-src=\"\/assets\/media\/recicle.jpg\" class=\" lazyload\"><\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"col-md-4\"><!-- CONSEJO  -->\r\n<div class=\"icon-box consejo m-b-40\">\r\n<div aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fa-regular fa-comment\"><\/div>\r\nTo facilitate selective collection, use the coloured containers, identifying where each waste material should go:\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li style=\"text-align:left;\"><strong><span style=\"color:#e7c903\">Yellow container:<\/span><\/strong> packaging of the Tetra-Brik type, plastic bottles and metal cans, plastic packaging.<\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"text-align:left;\"><strong><span style=\"color:#2cbcf0\">Blue container:<\/span><\/strong> paper and cardboard.<\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"text-align:left;\"><strong><span style=\"color:#a0b63a\">Green container:<\/span><\/strong> organic waste (general).<\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"text-align:left;\"><strong><span style=\"color:#008c10\">Igloo-type green container:<\/span><\/strong> glass.<\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"text-align:left;\"><strong><span style=\"color:#9d3e12\">Brown container:<\/span><\/strong> cooked and uncooked vegetable waste, nuts, bread, biscuits, paper with food remains, etc.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<!-- CONSEJO  END--><!-- CONSEJO  -->\r\n\r\n<div class=\"icon-box consejo m-b-40\">\r\n<div aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fa-regular fa-comment\"><\/div>\r\n\r\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\">Figures that highlight the importance of recycling:<\/div>\r\n\r\n<div style=\"text-align:left;\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li style=\"text-align:left;\">For each tonne of glass recycled, 1,200 kg of raw materials and 130 kg of fuel are saved.<\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"text-align:left;\">Each tonne of paper recycled avoids 14 trees being cut down, and also 50,000 litres of water and over 300 kg of oil.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<!-- CONSEJO  END--><\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This section contains some useful tips to save energy in on a daily basis.
