The OCTOPUS project aims to strengthen cooperation between local and regional actors to facilitate the energy and climate transition in Europe. Through the creation of support structures in different territories, the project seeks to help local authorities develop and implement sustainable energy policies adapted to their needs, promoting the adoption of renewable energies, improving energy efficiency and mitigating climate change. Thus, OCTOPUS helps regions to address these challenges in a more coordinated and effective way.
The Basque Energy Agency (Ente Vasco de la Energía-EVE), as the leader of Work Package 4 (WP4), focuses on the sustainability, replication and transfer of project results. Its role is to develop a strategy to ensure that the support structures created during the project can be replicated in other regions, ensuring their continuity and sustainability beyond the duration of the project. In addition, EVE works closely with partners to promote the exchange of good practice and to ensure that the implemented initiatives are integrated at local and regional level. Project partners include, in addition to EVE, entities from Cyprus, the Basque Country, Extremadura, France, Mazovia (Poland) and Ústí (Czech Republic), and the project coordinator is AURA-EE (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Environmental Agency, FR).
