Data privacy and protection policy

Pursuant to current legislation on personal data protection, Ente Vasco de la Energía hereby notifies users of the website www.eve.eus. (hereafter 'the Site') of the data privacy and protection policy that will apply to the processing of personal data voluntarily provided by users upon accessing its website.

In providing EVE with their personal data via the electronic forms contained in the Site and the contact section or by marking the corresponding checkbox, users expressly give EVE their consent to process said data under the terms of this Data Privacy and Protection Policy clause and for the aims herein expressed.

EVE informs users of the Site that their personal data may only be obtained for processing when they are adequate, relevant and not excessive with regard to the ambit and the explicit and legitimate stated purposes for which they have been obtained. They shall be erased when they have ceased to be necessary or relevant for this purpose or when the subject so requests in the exercise of his/her right to erasure.

EVE declares its commitment to comply with the data protection legislation in force at any time.

All personal data provided shall be processed by EVE and used as explained below.
 

What personal data do we collect via the Site?

In some cases, personal data are provided directly by users when they sign up to the newsletter or when they contact us through the channels provided. In other cases, personal data are obtained indirectly from users for purely statistical purposes, in order to analyse the use made of our site. Such data are obtained through the use of cookies or the provision of value-added services such as the map showing the location of our offices (See our cookie policy for further information).

Purposes	To attend to requests for information made via the contact form. Cookies: to provide statistics associated with use of the Site, To send newsletters, when expressly requested To register the subject as a user of our website for the purposes of accessing certain services such as book purchase or enrolment in courses and seminars. Use of images (photos and/or videos) taken in courses and seminars for the purpose of promotion and dissemination on the web, social networks or other media managed by the EVE Group. Use contact data to send information on courses and seminars organised or jointly organised by the EVE Group. Legal basis and storage	The basis for data processing is the consent given by the user by entering the data, ticking the acceptance box and submitting the different forms. The contact and registration details of site users will be stored for as long as the relationship persists, and we receive no request for it to be erased Please refer to our cookie policy for information on the expiry period of each cookie.
Recipients of international assignments and transfers	No transfer of your data to third parties is envisaged, unless so required by your query. Parties responsible for web analytics services: The Site has authorised the services of Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC. Data subject's rights	You may exercise your rights to access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction or objection by writing to the address shown above. Data subjects have the right to withdraw any consent previously granted. Data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with the Supervisory Authority (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (Spanish Data Protection Agency: www.aepd.es or Agencia Vasca de Protección de Datos (Basque Data Protection Agency) http://www.avpd.euskadi.eus/s04-5213/es/).

Users shall be solely responsible for the veracity of any data they furnish to EVE.
 
EVE adopts the technical and organisational measures necessary to ensure the security of the personal data contained therein and to prevent unauthorised alteration, loss, processing or access, taking into account the state of the art, the nature of the data and the risks to which they are exposed.

Any change made to the privacy policy and information handling practises shall be suitably notified; EVE may add to, amend or eliminate this privacy policy whenever it deems necessary.
 
In no case may EVE amend its policies or practices in such a way as to reduce the effectiveness of any protection of previously stored personal data, without prior consent from data subjects.
