Energy projects

According to the road map established by the Basque Government’s Industry Plan and its Transformative Projects, the electrification of industrial consumption is a priority factor for competitiveness, something in which electricity networks will have a fundamental role. However, this transformation is not always possible, which is why new energy vectors such as renewable hydrogen and decarbonised gases are required to gradually introduce more sustainable and efficient energies into these industries that are difficult to decouple from carbon. In this sense, the EVE promotes the reduction of fossil energy dependency, by increasing the percentage of renewable energy and supporting decarbonization projects in the industry.
